MONTREAL – Andre Aubut, the first All-American hockey player for the University of Maine, died Wednesday of complications from the paralysis he suffered after being injured in a hockey game last April.

Aubut, 33, was pronounced dead at approximately noon at Sacred Heart Hospital. His intestines had failed to function.
