A Sept. 25 story about the effect of the closure of Loring Air Force Base on the state’s economy said that Aroostook Communications in Presque Isle had a small business contract with the base for $1.27 million from Jan. 1, 1990, to April 9, 1991. The number was supplied by the Maine State Planning Office. However, the Presque Isle firm’s contract price for the specified period was $128,000 after reviewing its files, according to Michael MacPherson, company president.
