Jared Albair’s unassisted goal with 10:22 left in the game gave the John Bapst Crusaders a 2-1 schoolboy soccer win over the Hermon Hawks at the Eastern Maine Technical College field in Bangor Thursday.

Ricardo Melo added an unassisted goal for the 4-9-1 winners of Bangor. Goalie Ryan Coffin had six saves on 13 shots.

Joey Oxley scored the only goal for 7-7 Hermon off a penalty kick. Goalie Chuck Pace had two saves on 14 shots for the Hawks.

Hampden 1, Bangor 0

At Union Street field in Bangor, Brandon Leyro booted home a header pass from Ryan Cowen just 2:20 into the game to give the Broncos the winning goal in the final regular season game for both teams. Cowen’s pass came after a Bronco corner kick and Leyro one-timed the ball into the net.

Goalie Anders Sollie made four saves on 18 shots for the 8-5-1 Broncos.

For Bangor, 5-9, goalie Tim Wright made five saves on nine shots.

Nokomis 3, Old Town 2

At Old Town, Jeremy Brooks had two goals for Nokomis including the game winner. Jody Grant scored the other goal for the 2-12 Warriors. Goalie Jonathan Parker had 12 saves on 14 shots.

Andreas Rosell had both goals for the Indians. Andy Sibley had an assist for 2-12 Old Town. Goalie Josh Mitchell had 12 saves on 15 shots.

Ellsworth 1, GSA 0

At Blue Hill, Steven Perry scored an unassisted goal off a direct kick at the 27:06 mark in the second to take Ellsworth to an undefeated season.

Goalie Mark Hellum had 15 saves on 24 shots for the Eagles.

Goalie J.T. Loomis had 10 saves on 15 shots for 9-3-7 George Stevens Academy.

Sumner 8, Searsport 4

At East Sullivan, Travis Mercier and Jesse Grosjaen each had two goals for Sumner’s winning effort.

Doug Welch, Emil Thomann, Chris Berry, and Aaron Billings each added a goal for the 5-9 Tigers. Goalie Dennis Ellis had four saves on eight shots.

Dustin Nadeau had two goals for Searsport. Danny Danforth and Ethan Brown each had a goal for the 4-10 Vikings. Goalie Jason Krienke had 10 saves on 18 shots.

Dexter 3, Piscataquis 2

At Guilford, Jason Kiernan’s unassisted goal with 16:21 left in the game snapped a 2-2 tie and accounted for Dexter’s fourth victory against eight losses and a tie.

Jason Adicks netted Dexter’s two other goals, and goalie Adam Sargeant stopped seven shots to hold off the host Pirates.

Curtis Graffam scored both Piscataquis goals. Jessie Corbin made six stops for the Pirates, 7-3-4.

Fort Kent 3, Madawaka 1

At Fort Kent, Laughn Berthiaume scored off a Ryan Martin pass to start off the scoring for Fort Kent.

Ryan Martin and Doug Taggett both had an unassisted goal for the 12-1-1 Warriors. Chad Boucher had 14 saves on 18 shots.

John Clavette scored the only goal for 11-1-2 Madawaska unassisted. Goalies Scott Carter and Ryan Cyr combined 10 saves on 24 shots.

Fort Fairfield 4, Wisdom 1

At Fort Fairfield, Kirk DeMerchant had three goals for the Fort Fairfield victory.

Jared Bruce had a goal and an assist. Goalie Shawn Rogers had seven saves on 11 shots for the Tigers.

Chad Hamlin scored the only Wisdom goal off a Eric Bouchard pass. Goalie Tony Aldrete had nine saves on 14 shots for the Pioneers.

Girls Soccer

Penquis 3, Central 1

At Milo, goalkeeper Becky Smart made 17 saves on 20 shots to lift host Penquis to the win.

Tammy Ellison, Kristina Dewitt, and Barany Chessa scored the goals for 3-8-3 Penquis while Jill Horne and Amanda Haskell had assists.

For Central of East Corinth, Deanna Cotta scored and Heather Roberts had 16 saves on 34 shots.

Greenville 5, BC Patriots 1

At Greenville, Maren Muzzey had two goals to help lift the hometown Lakers to victory.

Krissy Giroux also had two goals and Jasmine Souther one for 12-0-2 Greenville. Erin-Kate Springer had six saves on seven shots.

Tara Matula scored the lone goal for 3-10 Bangor Chrsitian. Goalie Marji Bassette had seven saves on 27 shots.

Schenck 4, PVHS 1

At Howland, Heather Rosebush had two goals and one assist to lift Schenck of East Millinocket to the win.

Kristen Chavarie had a goal and an assist and Melanie Witham had a goal. Keli Daigle had eight saves on 16 shots for the 11-3 Wolverines.

Mandy Sage accounted for the only PVHS goal with an unassisted score. Julie Delaite had six saves on nine shots for 3-8-3 Penobscot Valley of Howland.

Madawaska 1, Fort Kent 0

At Fort Kent, Maria Sebastian scored 15 minutes into the second off a Debbie Jandreau pass to take the Owls to the win.

Jenifer Daigle had six saves on six shots.

Sherry Campagna had 15 saves on 16 shots for 3-9-1 Fort Kent.

So. Aroostook 4, Hodgdon 1

At Dyer Brook, Jill Mathers had three goals to lift host Southern Aroostook to victory.

Jessica Walker scored off a pass from Hannah Stevens, while Janet Corneil had two assists for the 9-4-1 Warriors. Shay Fox had nine saves on 10 shots.

Wendy Ivey scored the lone Hodgdon goal off a pass from Amy Quint. Jodi Quint had nine saves on 21 shots for the 8-3-1 Hawks.
