CASTINE — Maine Maritime Academy will hold an open house for prospective students and their parents on Oct. 16.

Registration will take place in the new Student Center from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday. A continental breakfast and lunch are free to all participants.

Daniel J. Jones, director of admissions, and other academy officers will conduct programs on academic majors, extracurricular activities, and options in student lifestyles. Academy representatives will lead tours of the campus and training ship. Financial aid advice and admissions interviews also will be available.
