DOVER-FOXCROFT — An 18-year-old Dexter man was arrested Tuesday on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Spencer Grinnell will be arraigned in 13th District Court in Dover-Foxcroft on Monday, Nov. 15.

Investigator Larry Bickford of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department said the charges stem from break-ins at two camps on Davis Pond in Guilford last July. About $1,389 worth of merchandise, including fishing rods, tackle boxes and a chainsaw, was taken from one camp. About $65 worth of goods were taken from a second camp. Some of the items were sold in Dexter and have been recovered, Bickford said.

Two juveniles, a 15-year-old male from Abbot and a 17-year-old male from Guilford, were charged and convicted of the break-ins earlier this summer.

Assisting Bickford in the case were Investigator Robert Young and Chief Deputy Dale Clukey of the sheriff’s department.
