CHINLE, Ariz. – The Unity College Runnin’ Rams cross country finished second to host Navajo College in Saturday’s running of the National Small College Athletic Association’s cross country championship here.

Navajo College garnered 29 points to Unity’s 57 as the two topped the list of 14 schools that ran the 8-kilometer course at Canyon de Chelly National Park.

Sophomore Shawn Jyawook became Unity’s first-ever All-American, finishing in seventh place in 28:52. Other runners scoring for the Rams were Jamie Good in ninth (29:30), Joel Flewelling in 12th (30:34), Bill Rollo in 13th (30:49), and Matt Horgan in 16th (31:55).

Also competeing for Unity were: Mahlon Libby, Jon O’Neil, and Joshua Feldman.
