DOVER-FOXCROFT — A Milo man and a Guilford man were sentenced to jail in Piscataquis County Superior Court Monday.
Michael Stanchfield, 24, of Guilford pleaded guilty to three counts of theft and ancillary theft, and was sentenced to four years. He was ordered to pay to his victims 25 percent of any earnings he makes while incarcerated, and to pay $75 to a victims compensation fund.
Stanchfield also pleaded guilty to theft by deception. He was sentenced to three years, to be served concurrently, and was ordered to pay $25 to a victims compensation fund and 25 percent of his earnings while in jail.
Troy J. Herbest, 23, Milo, pleaded guilty to burglary to a motor vehicle, habitual offender, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and assault. He was sentenced to 21 months in jail for burglary and being a habitual offender, and 364 days in jail for OUI and assault. His license was suspended for 90 days and he was ordered to pay a $300 fine, and $70 to a victims compensation fund.
Herbest also pleaded guilty to being a habitual offender, eluding an officer and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was sentenced to 12 months on the first two charges and 364 days on the OUI charge. His license was suspended for 90 days, and he was fined $300 and ordered to pay $60 to a victims compensation fund.
