Stooping low

Now and then the news media go beyond presenting material that is worthy of publication. As I read through the BDN (Nov. 10) and came upon the photo of three dead boys killed in Sarajevo, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Why would you want to exploit these dead children? What possible contribution did it make to any readers intellect? Has the BDN stooped so low as to print sensationalism and even use children in the process?

Their dead bodies placed on display won’t stop the killing. Your publication of this picture does, however, reduce your readership. Paula Lord Addison
