Chavarie is key in Schenck win

HOULTON – Kristen Chavarie connected for 20 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Schenck of East Millinocket to a 60-49 schoolgirl basketball victory over Houlton in a battle of perennial Eastern Maine powers.

Carrie Cram had 16 points for the Wolverines.

Andrea Spencer had 19 points and 14 rebounds for 1-1 Houlton. Tory Dow and Erica McCarthy each had 10 points.
