WASHBURN — The Washburn Fleet Youth Leader Team, “Da Jive Five,” will hold a Santa letter-writing project.

Children in the Washburn area may mail letters to Santa Claus, Washburn Post Office, Washburn 04786. Children are required to enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive a reply.

The team also will collect new and used toys, books, clothing and nonperishable food items for the needy. Boxes are available at Sperrey’s Superette, Fleet Bank in Washburn, Washburn Food Mart, Washburn High School, Washburn Middle School, and the town office.

Individuals in the Washburn, Perham or Wade area who would like children to receive gifts may contact Washburn Town Office with the ages of the children. The gift boxes will be delivered by the Washburn Rotary Club on Dec. 22.

Team leaders are Nick Thompson, Mark Kelley, Mary McIntosh, Robert Aquino and Meranda Hafford. Advisers are Peggy Kelley and Peggy Bugbee.
