MILLINOCKET – Mark Baxter scored five points and Norm Loukes four in double overtime to lead John Bapst past Stearns 66-58 at Wentworth Gym here Wednesday night in schoolboy basketball action.
Loukes finished the game with 23 points for the Crusaders of Bangor, Baxter 15, and Shannon Hall had 11.
Eric McAvoy scored 30 points to lead Stearns. Ryan Reeves and Drew O’Connor each scored 10.

At East Corinth, Willie Rivera and Josh Newcomb combined for 10 points late in the third quarter to spark the Central Red Devils past Piscataquis Community.
PCHS tied it at 36-all with 2:40 left, but Rivera and Newcomb responded as the Red Devils outscored the Pirates 10-3 to take a 46-39 lead at the end of the third.
Rivera finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Newcomb added 14 points.
Kam Kimball paced the Pirates of Guilford with 15 points and Curtis Graffam chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

At East Sullivan, Linden Curtis tossed in a 12-footer at the buzzer in regulation to send the game into overtime, then scored six points in the extra period to give the Tigers the win.
Curtis finished with 25 points, including 14 after the third quarter. Erik Ford and Brian Jordan had 13 each for the Tigers.
Matt Haney scored 21 points to lead the Eagles. Josh Barlow pitched in with 16 and Tom Pickering had 14.

At Fort Kent, Laughn Berthiaume scored eight of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter and Fort Kent went six-for-six from the foul line over the final eight minutes to hold off visiting Hodgdon.
Berthiaume, who went 8-for-11 from the floor in the game, also contributed eight assists to the win.
Ryan Martin had 16 points for Fort Kent, hitting all nine of his free throw attempts; Corey Thibodeau had 12 points and eight rebounds; Derek McBreairty had 11 points and Brad Currier grabbed 10 rebounds to go with his six points.
Sam Henderson’s 18 points, Justin Gricus’ 16 and Jered Stewart’s 15 points led Hodgdon. Roman Karnes had eight.
