The Brewer City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, to vote on a commendation to the Bangor-Brewer Farmers’ Market for its years of outstanding service to the citizens of Brewer.

The order is being sponsored by Councilor Larry Doughty.

Allen Whittemore will sponsor a commendation for Whittens’ 2-Way Service for donating a radio for the city’s K-9 Program.

Under the consent calendar, the council will be asked to approve amendments to the city’s Cable Television Ordinance and to the Fire Prevention Ordinance. Councilors also will be asked to approve permits for an automobile graveyard and an automobile recycling facility for Green Point Inc., to authorize the public works department to hire summer workers, to authorize an amendment to the sludge spreading agreement and to waive the rental fee at Brewer Auditorium for the Kiwanis Club.
