Blood jumpers nip HA

HAMPDEN – Chandra Blood nailed a game-tying 3-pointer with less than a minute left for the Witches, then drilled another long-range jumper with four seconds left to give Brewer a 36-33 win over Hampden Academy here Tuesday.

Denise Hewes scored 10 points to lead the Witches.

For Hampden, Erin Leavitt scored 11 points and pulled down 19 rebounds, while Emily Leavitt netted 10 points.

Clark, a 6-foot forward, ended with 26 points.

Allison Lane led the Lynx with 14 points, while Kara LaChance tossed in 12 to go with 10 rebounds and four blocked shots.
