Grant workshops

AUGUSTA — The Maine Arts Commission will hold a series of three workshops to ease grant applications and announce changes in the Project, Advancement, Education and Direct Grant categories. Workshops will be at the following times and locations:

10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Jan. 5, Bangor Civic Center, review of all grant programs;

9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, University of Southern Maine Building, 68 High St., Portland. Issues of organization’s ability to take on and complete initiatives under the commission’s Major Advancement program;

3-4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, Maine Coast Artists Gallery, Russell Avenue, Rockport, a two-part workshop on funding for artists and discussion of the first artist applications to the Project Grant category.
