FORT KENT — Northern Maine Medical Center will offer courses in first aid and in cardiopulmonary resuscitation beginning Tuesday, Jan. 11. The courses may be taken separately. Each course will consist of two classes from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the hospital’s in-service room.

FORT KENT — Northern Maine Medical Center will offer courses in first aid and in cardiopulmonary resuscitation beginning Tuesday, Jan. 11. The courses may be taken separately.

Each course will consist of two classes from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the hospital’s in-service room.

Completion of the CPR course will lead to American Heart Association certification. Participants will learn one-person, two-person, child and infant CPR.

The first-aid course will cover how to treat burns and fractures, control bleeding, and deal with medical emergencies such as diabetes. Completion leads to certification from the National Safety Council.

Enrollment is limited and there is a fee for the program. For information or to register, call NMMC’s education department at 834-3155, Ext. 123.
