WINSLOW – Darren Beers scored five goals as the Brewer High School Witches defeated the Winslow Black Raiders 7-2 Saturday in a hockey game Saturday at Sukee Arena.
Aaron Boone scored a goal and handed out two assists, Eric Watt scored a goal, and Chris Roeder had three assists for Brewer, now 9-2 on the season. Goaltender Matt Blaine stopped 19 of 21 shots.
Ryan Veilleux and R.P. Moada each scored a goal for Winslow, which drops to 3-5 on the season. Dan Ferrigan turned aside 24 of 31 shots in net.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Mike Tardif scored a pair of goals to lead the Broncos to the victory.
Ryan McPike added a goal and an assist for the 3-5 winners. Chris Philbrook, Tyler Whitehouse, and John Harker each added goals while Rob King dished out a pair of assists. Goaltender Corey Nicholson had 22 saves.
For Foxcroft, 2-6, Jamie Jordan and Seth Sands had a goal and an assist apiece while Ry Hoffman added a goal. B.J. Costa stopped 13 shots.
