ORONO – Darren Beers scored a pair of goals and goalie Matt Blaine stopped all 11 shots he faced as the Brewer Witches shut out Stearns of Millinocket 3-0 in a high school hockey game Monday at Alfond Arena.

Aaron Boone added a goal and an assist for the Witches, now 11-2. Eric Watt had two assists and Ben Roeder one.

Ben Hanscom stopped 34 of the 37 shots he faced in net for the Minutemen, who dropped to 6-3.
