PITTSFIELD — County spelling representatives were chosen Thursday during a SAD 53 spelling bee at Warsaw Middle School. First place went to Christina Moyer, grade six, and second place went to Sam Getchell, grade seven. They will represent SAD 53 at the Somerset County Spelling Bee next Wednesday, March 9, in Madison.

Tim Knowlton, an eighth-grader, will represent SAD 53 in the Waldo County Spelling Bee next Thursday, March 10, in Belfast. Knowlton was the Waldo County winner last year.
