I am a citizen opposed to legalizing casino gambling in our state. We gain no positive value from this industry. It creates nothing good, only harm. There are legitimate and moral reasons that our forefathers understood, that caused them to write laws against this industry. Those reasons still exist. Those most in need will not be served by this industry. Other social ills will grow. Our problems will only be exacerbated.

Gambling is not a part of the Maine tradition. Why would we want to invite this cancer into our state now? Joseph P. Broz Brewer
