Society will hold a zone missionary rally at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at First Church of the Nazarene, 1463 Union St., Bangor. The area includes Nazarene churches in Penobscot, Piscataquis, Hancock, Washington and Waldo counties.

The speaker will be the Rev. Duane Rensberry, office administrator and coordinator of work and witness teams for the Mexico Central America South Field Office.

Rensberry and his wife, Linda, were appointed as missionaries to Honduras by the General Board of the Church of the Nazarene in 1984. He now serves as administrator and coordinator for Nazarene missions in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.

Rensberry earned a bachelor’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University, and did graduate study at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Missouri.

Linda Rensberry is a registered nurse, and serves the church in the areas of literature and lay training.

The couple said that they have for many years had a growing love for missions, which was increased when they made a trip to Santiago, Chile. Prior to entering the missions field, they served churches in Galesburg and Farmington, Ill., and Gaylord, Mich. They have two sons, and make their home in Alpena, Mich., during their furlough year.
