Waterworks hospice

I would like to present an idea worthy of attention by appropriate and interested persons.

It would be great if the folks at Eastern Maine Medical Center and Bangor Water District got their heads together and worked a deal for EMMC to obtain the old Bangor Waterworks buildings and turn them into a much-needed hospice facility. The benefits are obvious — restoration of a major historical site and providing of an important facility that would shelter, comfort, and aid patients and their families to help ease the transition from one life to another.
