VAN BUREN — Memorial Day observances at Van Buren are planned for Sunday, May 29. A mass in honor of deceased soldiers will be held at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Parade units will gather at the Van Buren District Secondary School parking lot at 1 p.m. A parade will begin at 2 p.m. and will march from the school to the parish cemetery, then to the veterans monument at Violette Brook. The parade will disband at the American Legion Post.
