ORONO — The University of Maine is one of four agencies in the United States chosen to introduce college students from Russia to a democratic society before they enter U.S. colleges.

Housing in private homes is needed for three weekends in July and August, one student for one weekend per host.

During the week, students will attend panel discussions, seminars and discussion groups on American culture and academic life under a program by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
