The Bangor Christian Patriots will play host to a pair of playoff games on Tuesday, highlighting Eastern Maine’s preliminary round action in baseball and softball as teams seek to qualify for the quarterfinals.

The eighth-seeded Patriots boys team will bring an 11-5 record into the prelim game against ninth-seeded Ashland (7-9) at 4 p.m. while the No. 8 BC girls (8-8) will host No. 9 Greenville (3-12) beginning at 4:30 p.m.

In Class B prelim action on Tuesday, the Foxcroft Academy baseball team is seeded eighth with a 9-5 record and will host No. 9 Belfast (11-5) at 4 p.m.

On the girls side of the Class B coin, eighth-seeded Mount Desert Island (10-6) will entertain No. 9 Camden-Rockport (8-6).

Preliminary game winners advance to Thursday’s quarterfinal round against the top seeded teams in their respective divisions.
