FORT KENT — Summer alumni day at the University of Maine at Fort Kent will be held Saturday, June 18.

Individual class reunions and other activities will be held throughout the day. The Class of 1944, people who graduated from the Madawaska Training School, UMFK’s forerunner, will meet at 3 p.m. for tea at the Acadia House, the home of UMFK President and Mrs. Richard Dumont.

A campus tour for all alumni is set for 4 p.m. beginning at the Blake Library. At 5:30 p.m., alumni will gather at Nowland Hall for a social hour, cash bar. A buffet will follow at 6:30 p.m.

Bernice Michaud will receive the Outstanding Alumnuis Award from the UMFK Alumni Association at the banquet. The classes of 1944, 1969 and 1984 will also be recognized.

Advance reservations are required for the banquet and can be made at the UMFK Office of Alumni Services prior to June 10. They also have accomodations for alumni and guests on campus.
