I think it is very sad when the Piscataquis Community High School Band raises $32,000 in less than one year to send themselves to Virginia and Washington for a four day trip to march in two parades, only to have the television channels 2, 5 and 7, the newspapers, Bangor Daily News, Piscataquis Observer and the Eastern Gazette, the radio channel WGUY, not feel it was newsworthy enough to inform the public.

These students worked very hard and performed wonderfully. I am very proud of each and every one of them as I hope everyone else is. Sherry Edes Guilford
