WALDO – A sacrifice fly by Jody Peak in the fifth inning scored Bobby Hughes for the winning run in a 5-4 Waldo County American Legion baseball victory over Brewer Friday night.

Chris Coleman had a single and two RBIs for Waldo, and Chris Steiner added two singles.

For Brewer, Neil Raymond slammed an RBI double and two singles, and Greg Gobel had two base hits.

At Mahaney Diamond in Orono, Chad Graffam had two doubles and three RBIs to lead Central Maine past Downeast 10-0 Friday night in Eastern Maine Amateur Baseball League action.

Mark Reed added two doubles and an RBI, and Andy Kiah drove in two runs for Central Maine.

For Downeast, Justin Harmon hit a single and a triple, and Jeff Haskins, Bain Pollard, Brent Emerson, and Joel Wilson each contributed a double.
