I would like to thank all my colleagues, friends, relatives and patients who cooperated and made donations that enabled me to volunteer my time in June in Vietnam with Need International, and World Vision, where I participated in a teaching seminar for orthotics and prosthetics for O&P practitioners and doctors.

The seminar was very successful, and we also constructed numerous braces and artificial limbs for Vietnamese children and adults. This letter is also a way of conveying the gratitude that was expressed by Vietnamese patients and seminar participants to us and the American people who made the project possible.

Having spent some years there during the war, I found this experience to be spiritually rewarding as well as professionally gratifying, as the Vietnamese people have a hard-working and positive attitude toward the future. Roger D. Marshall Bangor
