Coty hurls shutout to force a rematch

The Brewer Minor League All-Stars extended their season Wednesday by downing previously unbeaten Westbrook 7-0 – forcing another playoff game for the Minor League state championship.

The two teams will play at Gordon Field in Rockland Thursday at 1 p.m.

At Rockland, Chris Coty pitched a three hit shutout, striking out six and walking none to lead Brewer to a 7-0 victory over Westbrook.

Justin Brooker added a two run double for Brewer, and Keith Walton, Josh Kochis, and Andy Sullivan each had RBIs.

Kevin Fasulo hit two singles for Westbrook, and John Lister posted one base hit.
