OLD TOWN — Members of Boy Scout Troop 70 in Old Town will continue their pursuit of the Historic Trails Award by participating in an encampment Aug. 27-28 at Fort Knox in Prospect.

During the event, Scoutmaster Steve Hatch and the Scouts will learn what military life during the Civil War was like by joining in drill, mock battles, preparing authentic meals and doing chores.

Troop 70 Scouts were made honorary members of the 20th Maine Infantry Volunteers for activities at a similar encampment July 30-31.
