BANGOR – Geoffry Goodwin bowled a perfect, 300 game Thursday night at Family Fun Bowling Center. It was his first perfect game in 10 years of bowling.

Goodwin, 45, from Bangor works in the Maine Attorney General’s office. “I only bowled a 200 my second game, so I guess I got a little nervous,” Goodwin said Thursday night.

Goodwin has been working with coach Bill Clark since February to improve his game, he said. Clark has drilled sixty-two 300 balls during his career, Goodwin said.

Goodwin, who grew up in Houlton, said he did not bowl when he lived in Aroostook County because “they have no tenpins (lanes) up there, only candlepins.” He now bowls in four leagues at Family Fun Lanes.
