SEARSPORT — Teachers and their families may take free tours of the Penobscot Marine Museum on Columbus Day, Oct. 10, giving them a chance to see what the museum may offer their students.

Coastal Maine from the mid- to late 19th century is the museum topic, all set in a sea captain’s home where information is available about the China trade, period artwork by Dolly Smith, and seafaring in general. For information, call the museum at 548-2529.
