Hunters continued to take advantage of superb conditions Tuesday during the second day of Maine’s 1994 moose hunting season.

The kill did not match Monday’s total, but 310 moose were bagged and tagged Tuesday. That pushed the two-day count to 717.

With four days of hunting still remaining, almost 60 percent of the permit holders have filled their quota. The 1994 total is well above last year’s two-day count of 521.
