SULLIVAN — A workshop for literacy tutor volunteers will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Sorrento-Sullivan Recreation Center.

Sumner Adult Education depends on volunteers to support the Jumpstart Adult Learning and Even Start Family Literacy programs. The workshop will introduce prospective tutors to the issues of adult literacy students, local literacy programs, basic teaching techniques, goal setting and lesson planning.
