ELLSWORTH — The Maine Community Foundation is looking for youthful partners to help give away $10,000 to charitable causes in Maine communities. The foundation will select 10 youth groups to participate in its “Partners in Philanthropy” project.

The idea behind the project, now in its sixth year, is to ask young people to help make decisions about worthy charitable projects that need support in their communities. Ten youth groups will be awarded $1,000 each to be distributed to charities on their recommendations.

Mail letters of application before Dec. 1 to: Partners in Philanthropy, Maine Community Foundation, 210 Main St., P.O. Box 148, Ellsworth 04605. Participants will be selected and notified by Dec. 15.
