Tobin powers Braves to win

BANGOR – Sophomore guard Tony Tobin made five 3-pointers en route to 21 points as the Husson Braves downed the University of Maine-Fort Kent 89-82 in men’s college basketball action at Newman Gym Tuesday night.

Xavier Joyner added 18 points for the winners, while Brian Jefferson had 12 points, 10 assists, and nine steals. Rob Rice scored 12 points and pulled down 14 rebounds, and Jimmy Watkins added 12 points.

Chris Sutton paced the Bengals with 24 points. Dave Warman added 16, while Lorne Guy had 15 points and 13 boards and Scott Richardson netted 13.

Jagos Medenica and Barry Shrambam added 16 points each for the Clippers, while Antoine Morin netted 11.

Dale Black and Mike Jack led the Rams with 19 points apiece. Jamey McNally scored 18.
