I heard Sen. Jesse Helms ask, through a mouthful of marbles, “Is Clinton up to being commander in chief?” I feel he is, Jesse. Any leader who could cool down a potential war in Korea, Haiti, and the Persian Gulf without shedding one drop of American blood qualifies to be called “commander in chief.” As a matter of fact, President Clinton and former President Jimmy Carter qualify for the Nobel Peace Prize, in my opinion.
