BOSTON – Ted Foster headed in a cross from Gary Hughes with 2:28 remaining in regulation to provide Brown University with a 3-2 upset win over Boston University in the second round of the NCAA tournament Sunday.

Brown dominated the first half, outshooting the Terriers 12-3 and holding a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Bears jumped to a 2-0 first-half advantage on a pair of goals by Darren Eales. The first came off a Foster corner kick and the second was set up by Leonard Liptak, who sent a long clearing pass down the center of the field, which Eales collected and slid underneath a diving Forde.

BU pulled to within 2-1 when Matt Freeman chested a long forward pass from Andrew Rowe past Brown goalkeeper Tim Webb.

The Terriers tied the game on a goal by Silas Pachon.
