Dr. Brazier defended

We are members of the medical staff at Calais Regional Hospital and are aware of the indictment of Cressey Brazier, M.D., director of emergency services. Dr. Brazier has informed us that he did not commit the alleged assault and is innocent.

Dr. Brazier has worked in the emergency department of Calais Regional Hospital for nine years. In that time, we have known him to be a very competent and compassionate physician whose services have been and remain extremely valuable to the people of Washington County. We know of nothing which would lead us to question his competence or integrity.

We strongly support his presence in our emergency room because he is an excellent emergency physician, because we believe his presence there constitutes no danger to any patient, and because we believe that a man is innocent until his guilt is proven.
