Outlook: The Black Bears likely won’t look past the Lady Dragons, who upset Maine 72-71 late last season in Orono. Coach Joanne Palombo-McCallie’s team is working on a five-game winning streak, while Drexel has prevailed in five of its last seven. The Bears exhibited good scoring balance Monday in a 40-point win over Hofstra, including a dominating performance by Guidi, who scored a season-high 23 points. Freshman Sandi Carver added a career-best 18 points. The Dragons are adept at drawing fouls and have averaged 20 free throws per game in 29 attempts. Blodgett was the No. 31 scorer in NCAA Division I (20.2 ppg) this week for Maine, which is averaging 3,129 fans this winter at the Alfond. The Bears have been outrebounded in each of their last three outings. Drexel is 0-5 on the road this season. Maine leads the series 7-1.
