Special-needs children focus of Feb. 1 workshop

MADISON — “The Rights of Children with Special Needs” with Helen Holmes will be held at the Madison Area Health Center 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1. This workshop is free and the deadline for registration is Jan. 26.

The workshop will focus on the needs and rights of special-needs children and ways that parents can advocate for these rights. Holmes will overview the special education law and discuss how to prepare for teachers meetings, how and what to document, and information and resources available.
