WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Portland Pirates goaltender Jim Carey is the AHL Sher-Wood Player of the Week (ending Jan. 22). Carey posted a 3-0 record with a .933 save percentage. Sher-Wood will donate $500 in sticks and a case of pucks to a Portland youth hockey organization.
