Atwood lifts UNE by UMPI

OLD TOWN – A 19-point effort from Jill Atwood, coupled with 13 points from Christine Perry, helped the University of New England defeat the University of Maine-Presque Isle 78-67 in women’s college basketball action Friday night.

Wendy Atwood and Leslie Collins each added 12 points for the Knights.

Michelle Davis tossed in 25 points for Presque Isle, and Kelly Picard had 18 points and 13 rebounds.
