All-around champ Boisvert helps Noble win

KENNEBUNK – Beth Boisvert claimed the state gymnastics individual title for the third straight year while leading Noble High School of Berwick to its sixth state championship in seven years during Saturday’s title meet at Kennebunk High School.

Boisvert won the vault, the uneven bars and the floor exercise and took second in the balance beam to score 36.15 points and beat out Bethany Haynes of Yarmouth, who had 34.65. Andra Markoff of St. Dominic in Lewiston placed third with 31.80 points.

Coach Jennica Burk’s team picked up 151.83 points to hold off host Kennebunk, which tallied 142.65. Waterville finished a strong third with 141.35, behind Megan Fitton and Mindy Pomerleau.
