WATERVILLE — An innovative community outreach program offered by Mid Maine Medical Center will begin April 2. “Sunday Morning Rounds at MMMC” is a one-hour live talk radio show that will air 8-9 a.m. Sunday on radio station 93.5 FM.

Each week, Dr. Paul Berkner, MMMC pediatrician, will make “rounds,” not from bed to bed in a hospital, but on the airways, providing listeners with health care information.

Berkner will talk to experts and specialists about heart disease, cancer, pediatric care, nutrition, exercise, eye care and many other topics. Listeners will have an opportunity to call in and ask questions on the air.

The premiere program will feature MMMC President Scott B. Bullock. Bullock will address the state of health care in our community and in Maine and will answer callers’ questions.

“Sunday Morning Rounds” is co-sponsored by the radio station and MMMC. Information is available by calling 1-800-894-4014.
