ORONO – The Howard Richard Memorial Run Saturday will commemorate the Mount Desert Island High School’s longtime cross-country and indoor track coach, who died this winter.

Five high school track teams will make the 54-mile relay from the University of Maine fieldhouse to MDI high school before a 5 p.m. reception for the racers, friends and family of Richard, who was a founder of the Eastern Maine Indoor Track League.
