SKOWHEGAN — The Wednesday morning meeting of the Somerset County commissioners was postponed because of a lack of a quorum.
The only Commissioner present was Gerald Strickland.
Several tax abatement hearings will be rescheduled, said Wright Pinkham, administrative assistant. They were for Jennifer and Harry Cram Jr. vs. Canaan, Linda Hudson vs. Harmony and Linda Hudson vs. Hartland.
Strickland did open bids on several projects. No contracts were awarded because a review of each bid package is required, said Pinkham. The bids opened included those for labor, equipment and lumber for the Rockwood area transfer station.
Also postponed was a discussion on the need for a hazardous materials policy.
No date has been set for the next meeting.
