BANGOR — The Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine will hold a march and rally to protest the Republican “Contract with America” at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Pickering Square.

Protesters will march from Pickering Square to the federal building on Harlow Street, part of a day of protest sponsored by the National People’s Campaign to defeat the “Contract with America,” which they say destroys 60 years of progress in social services.
