NEWPORT — Two sophomores at Nokomis Regional High School are the only representatives from central and northern Maine scheduled to participate May 27-28 in National Catholic Forensic League competition in Chicago.
Aaron Frey of Dixmont and Brendan Gannon of Palmyra are members of an after-school speech club at Nokomis and compete with the Maine Forensic League Association. Saturday contests are held throughout the league from September through March. The duo were runners-up in a spring competition, but were selected to participate in the national competition when another team pulled out. This is the first time in a duo competition for Frey and Gannon.
