AUGUSTA — While a citizen-initiated ballot question designed to curb legal protections for gays may be misleading, that should not keep the question off statewide ballots this November, a Superior Court judge ruled Friday.
“Any tinkering with the question now would effectively change the issue that was presented to the over 60,000 Maine voters who signed petitions,” Justice Donald Alexander wrote.
